Agriculture
Hawaii Future Farmers of America member, Agriculturalist, Envrionmentalist, Student reseacher
I joined the FFA in the latter half of my 7th-grade year and would go on quickly to be inspired to pursue a future in and work today in many fields of agriculture. It has been 2 school years since then, and in those two years, I have become a 2-time National FFA Agriscience Champion, an advocate for agricultural development and conservation here in my home state of Hawaii, and have learned enough about agriculture to know I see a steadfast future in it. I hope to eventually begin and run my own business in the future of food production- focusing on protein synthesis, renewable energy, and synthetic biology in crops.
Leadership
Leader, Public speaker, Problem solver
For the past 2 years in middle school, and currently, in my 1st year of high school, leadership has been a quality of mine that I value greatly. Through multiple experiences in student leadership in FFA, extracurricular programs, athletics, and student office- I have gained valuable skills and insights as a public speaker, problem solver, collaborator, and infinitely more insight about myself as a person. Leadership defines me not only as a concept I use to guide others but as a way I live; through leading myself through life.
Vision
What I see for myself; the ten-year picture
Asking anyone, not just a 15-year-old kid the question of, "Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?" is a daunting question NO ONE can answer fully. Nobody- including me, can predict their future with exact certainty. Who knows what may happen to us tomorrow, 3 years down the line, next weekend, or even in the next hour? However, I do have a vision of what I can see for myself. In 10 years, I'll be 25 years old, working on (hopefully) my own biofuel tech startup. In 10 years, I'll be using science and leadership in my life to create an impact on the world around me through technology and initiative.

The Website Story
I created this website as a means to document my life as a 15-year-old, hoping to pursue a future in agricultural technology and business. I hope that in time, this website will be filled with stories, events, projects, blog posts, and images showing myself and whoever views this page who I am, and what I'm doing :).
